To no veil, reaching the venue 4 hours prior to the start of the concert’s worthless. Crowds only began to fill up the line at around 5pm with free pizzas being given from the back line. But heck, I managed to steal another slice of pizza when you know that it’s 1 slice per person. Ah, who cares… like I care cos’ I paid so much for the ticket anyway.

Gates were opened at 6.30pm and my left foot got stuck at the stupid turning door, thanks to those bunch of girls screaming and yelling like they can’t wait to get hold of their space at the front stage. Freaking annoyed that they didn’t know what caused the door to be jammed, so I yelled “my foot! see! my left freaking stinky foot!”
So we were in and got the best view of the stage, like not too near or not too far. Like you know, we’re just in front of the barriers which separated the area between the first and the second general admission ticket holders. As predicted, Kaki King and The Mess Hall did the opening act for an hour and they’re quite good on stage. What else to say that The Mess Hall are only made up of a duo: each on guitar and drums.
Then Foo Fighters came…

And you know what… that is the first and best concert I’ve ever seen in my entire life! Nothing can describe the fanaticism of the crowds when they took the stage with Dave Grohl making everyone there screaming his name.

Heck we were even entertained by the best triangle soloist ever! And darn Taylor for doing his solo on drums… so good that he’s referred by Dave as Perth’s favourite drummer. And I’m surprised to see Pat Smear, the ex-guitarist of the band to be part of this tour.

My favourite part of the show is when Dave Grohl started to play Everlong and sing along with the crowds in acoustic style. Here’s the video of it.
With the exception of the sounds, the pictures here are enough to describe how awesome the concert was… it could be the best in a decade… or even for a long time.
