Surprise surprise. Do you know that up to this date, I’d been to the place thrice for the past 3 weeks?

I knew nothing of the existence of this ‘kopitiam’ only when I was informed that we were going to have lunch there. It’s located just next to Sun City (behind St. Columba school) and I think they just had their soft opening not long ago. And when I just stated that I’d already been there 3 times, that means 3 types of meals and 2 types of coffees had been tasted.

One thing I love about IpohTown Kopitiam is their typical traditional Chinese authentic interior design inside a modern space. The atmosphere would’ve been better if they play some Chinese oldies music.

In the menu, they served a variety of foods like one of their famous noodles (forgot what’s it called), curry chicken turmeric rice, nasi lemak, bean curd rice etc. The nasi rendang is my favourite among the 3 dishes I’d tried so far.

When comes to drinks, there are plenty of coffees to choose from and that’s where the heavenly taste began. Up to date, I tried their white coffee and kopi-o and I must say that I really love their coffees. Both of them tasted unique, like there’s a bitter taste inside it but somehow the acidity of the coffee covers the bitterness and it was really delicious. Probably the best non-local coffee I’ve ever tried in Miri.

It’s just that the place’s situated at the other end of Miri that makes a no-no decision to frequent there. But overall, the combination of great meal + great coffee makes it a definite place to visit.
