CNY Cookies

Yup… so you got the hint. Chinese New Year is just around the corner with all the tong tong chiang music flooding at any Chinese-owned business centers. Stupid… rather than attracting the customers, old folks are just suffering from those stupid music with the bass volume tuned at max. Crap… and I’m really crapping right now, do I?

Here, I’m going to spread the words on behalf of a friend of mine about her mom’s gorgeous yet delicious cookies for booking. Currently, 5 cookies are available while there will be another one coming up soon. Anyway, here’s the list:

Momo Cookies (400 grams) - RM18.00

Pineapple Cookies (50 pieces) - RM18.00

Ant Nest (200 grams) - RM8.00

Chocolate Cookies (300 grams) - RM12.00

Chicken Floss (250 grams) - RM18.00

I tested every single one of them… syok! I have to say that all of them tastes really damn good! The pictures here are NOT deceiving, OK? My friend even gave me some samples to my mom, ended up with pineapple cookies being her favourite. I love the chocolate cookies and you’ll love it till you can forget all those expensive cookies made by Famous Amos. I’m serious! Ant Nest is sweet as well as Momo cookies… and I’m wondering how on earth did they get those names for the cookies?!

I already ordered some from her, including that tasty pineapple cookies. So yea… if there’s anyone of you who are interested to purchase this cookies while easing your mom’s bakery workload for Chinese New Year, I would recommend you all to buy all these cookies mentioned above. You can sample the cookies if you want to and I can bet a 100 bucks that you will like them.

“Momo” is actually called “kuih makmur”, originally from the Malay. It becomes “momo” because the Chinese mispronounced them.
Used to do them myself but this year I’m not doing “momo” anymore, lazy and got tired of it already *LOL*

Will still do pork floss instead of Chicken floss :P Every year sure got, oven baked, healthier and can last longer. So if there’re Malays coming to visit us, we’ll remove them from the table before they arrived.

You can find these two recipes from my blog too :P hehehehe…

JJ: Wow, Irene knows it all! Thanks for sharing those info about the History of Momo Cookies. :D
