My parents came over to Miri last Tuesday and stayed for 2 nights for the purpose of visiting me, knowing that I was stressing out with my preparation for next week’s final exams. I’m glad that they came over at the time when I really need them to give me all the support and confidence in my studies.
During the first day, I had a heavy dinner with them at Imperial Restaurant (they were staying at Imperial Hotel). I was quite surprised to figure out that there’s a Philippines’ trio who played live music for the restaurant guests, and I recognized them since they ever played at Marriott before when I was having a dinner with Kristy. Dad requested The Beatles’ Yesterday and they played well. They played some Frank Sinatra’s and Elvis’ songs for the guests and I was very impressed when they played one of the famous Teresa Teng’s Yuè Lià ng Dà i BiÇŽo WÇ’ De XÄ«n (The Moon Represents My Heart). Cheers to them.
Anyway, I ordered mixed grills (RM45) since they asked me to order anything I want. Bad move…I had migraine later at that night and had to stop doing my autoCAD assignment which submission was due on the next day.
On the second day, I stayed overnight with them and Kristy’s mom brought us for dinner at Apollo Seafood Centre, which is not far away from the place we stayed. Auntie ordered lots of foods until I had to be the one to finish all of them. That’s the consequence for losing weight too much and they will definitely target you with lots of foods thrown into your mouth.
Those 2 days were great and it would’ve been such a long time of having such good foods if not for their presence. Now I can’t wait to go back to Kuching…in 7 days time!

Hope autoCAD is not stressing you out too much. My friends here are complaining about how difficult it is, and also Pro E as well. Dunno if you do that or not. But my point is…take it easy!
JJ: Thanks! Haha…at least they can pay for the many chocolates I bought. autoCAD’s actually quite easy to use once you get a hang of it by spending more time with the software…but heck, sometimes it just drives you crazy for hours just over a small stupid mistake.
