I went there yesterday morning with my dad for breakfast, making it the 3rd trip for the past 3 weeks. One thing I noticed about the soup texture of the laksa is just, different. Before you stir the laksa once it’s being served, you can notice that the outer layer of the soup tells you that it’s a bit concentrated.
The laksa tastes great and it just have the perfect balance of not too spicy. Different people have their own taste. That’s why the belacan is ready for those who want to spice up the laksa. Not to forget the lime for those who want to make the laksa tastes more smooth.
Actually I brought my dad to try out Madam Tang’s laksa since everyone have been saying it has the best laksa in Kuching. Well, my dad has a different opinion. He recommends Fat Cat’s laksa, located just next to Lee Ming kopitiam at Tabuan Laru commercial centre. According to my dad, Madam Tang’s laksa tastes almost the same as Fat Cat’s, but Fat Cat’s laksa always finish before 10am. It seems that Fat Cat has better business than Madam Tang’s Cafe.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to try out Fat Cat’s laksa this coming Tuesday (not open on Monday) but no doubt these two laksa rivals can be among the best in town.
Man, I shouldn’t wrote this. The consequence, I’m freaking hungry right now!
