7 Days and 6 Nights in Miri

Leaving Kuching

The holiday that I spent in Miri was just priceless and I am glad that I was able to fulfill most of my precious time together with Kristy; and my cousins whom I have not seen for quite a while. I stayed at my aunt’s house during that time and the strong air-conditioning inside the house changed my sleeping routine of going to bed by 2 hours earlier. Does 2am considered early? I do.

One day, I followed Kristy and her parents to the supermarket to shop groceries. Guess what I saw:

What a price

Walau…that was the first time I saw a RM1000 figure displayed on the counter machine in a SUPERMARKET. Anyway, we ate outside quite often at some places in town. We tried out Fratini’s Restaurant which is located at Boulevard area and the food there is nice but expensive.

I wish I can try one of those Specials but it’s pretty expensive and I just don’t want to hurt my uncle’s wallet. So I chose the cheapest food of them all, a forgotten name pasta which costs RM 22.00. The portion of it was just OK but what I like the most is the interior of the restaurant.

Not only that, I had my very first foot reflexology massage in Imperial together with Kristy and her parents. All this while, I thought that a foot reflexology centre is just simple like the one here in Kuching. But somehow, that place is really poshy and they even got a huge LCD TV right in front of our seats.

The old woman really did a good job of making my left ankle feel much better after I twisted it while playing futsal 3 weeks ago. I got high hyperactive when the way she massaged my right foot were ticklish that makes me braved enough to take some pics and a video, and documented about my very first foot massage and my first foot massager. Nah:

Don’t worry…my foot doesn’t stink at all

Man, even Kristy told me that the woman couldn’t stand laughing like what due to my sakainess by taking lotsa pics during the massage session. =D

Overall, the massage was superb and I hope to visit them once in a month when I go back to Miri to cure my upcoming deadly 2nd year stress from studies. I guess that what Kenny Sia said is true: I felt like walking on clouds in Imperial after the massage. Maybe I should try Kenny’s Osim iSqueez Foot Massager one day. =P

It's nice!
I was preparing to “float” after the massage

Now comes to the bad part. I went to visit Kristy’s old house together with her parents since they wanted to take some things from there before renting out to other people. So I helped them to carry the things into the car until…I accidentally broke a 50 years old water filter antique belongs to Kristy’s parents into pieces and yea, it is the first time I broke an antique. I’m really sorry, uncle. =(

So yea, there are quite a number of first timer happened to me during the holiday in Miri. I know I will miss Kristy, her parents, my aunty and uncle, and cousins when I go back to Miri again at the end of February to start 2nd year of university life in Curtin. I am so not looking forward to start university life again.

Back to Kuching

Sigh…..
